Welcome from the Minister
We invite you to join us this Sunday for worship service at Rivers Hill Church of Christ. We believe you will discover that Rivers Hill is a place where we love God, we love each other, and we love you!
Upon entering the building, the first thing you'll notice is that there is a friendly face greeting you at the door. This person will be happy to direct you to our auditorium, or to the seat of your choice. You will notice that we have fresh coffee in our fellowship hall and after service we usually have a brief meal. Please help yourself! Ushers are on hand to direct you to the auditorium, restrooms, or anywhere else you may be headed. Be sure to pick up some information about Rivers Hill Church of Christ from the welcome desk. You will find the atmosphere festive and welcoming, one big family that comes together for a celebration!
The worship service kicks off with our beloved Minister reading from Psalm 100, 95 or 103, while the congregation stands and focuses on all that God has done for us in our lives. Our corporate worship is considered a "blend" because we sing contemporary worship songs, but we also love many of the older hymns of the faith. We have very talented song leaders who are gifted by God to lead our church in hymns. Our Minister will bring a message that is right out of the Bible. His desire is that you will learn something from the word of God that will convict you to live more like Jesus. Normally, we take an offering during the service. Don't worry, you won't be asked for money if you are a guest. We simply want you to enjoy the service and experience what God is doing among us.
If you can stay around for a little while after the service is over, please do so. Our Minister loves to meet those who are guests with us. If possible we would like for you to stop by the welcome desk and fill out a visitor’s card so that we can send you information on upcoming events. CD’s of the service are free to visitors. We hope that you will take this initial step and come give us a visit. After all, that is what most of us did when we were where you are right now, and we liked it so much that we did not want to leave!
